TC&SE Part 1 HW Question 2

Hi I have question about HW question 2. I found “however” indicates “contrast” and found the clue is “rude”. However, in the sentence, it says “impossibly rude”. So I put “not rude” as my clue and a contract of that is “rude”. Therefore I went with the answer “D.coarseness”.

Does “impossibly rude” here still mean “rude”?

Question photo:

Hi,

“impossibly rude” means:

“so rude to the point where it’s impossible to think that someone would act like this”

and not:

“impossible to be rude”

so the contrast of that (blank) needs to be the opposite of “rude” here.

Hope that helps!
