Hello so I was doing this question from the Big Book, and can’t understand why choice D is more suitable than choice E. I dont get the reasoning behind both the blanks, does it have to do with their suitability with each other (in which case each of them would individually fit the context of the sentence perfectly) or is there is something in choice E that makes one of its choices unsuitable to the sentence itself?
