Trying to see if context alone is enough to get 165 in the verbal section

Hi,
So far i’ve been able to understand meanings of words with context. But wasn’t able to remember or know the exact definition of a particular word. I’m currently taking greg’s youtube series vocab tests directly, and I study from the mistakes I make. On some cases it worked, and on some cases it didn’t. Overall to get a 165 on the verbal, should I able to learn and recite the definitions of the word, or knowing from context alone is enough?

Knowing words in context is the ideal case scenario

You don’t need to know a whole definition, just know a synonym
