I am currently in the week 3 of the two month plan, where I sporadically complete the work-to-do of the day. However, I’m finding it hard to be accurate and take less time simultaneously, while doing the GRE BB homework. I have made it a point to go back to the problem and really get into the fine details logically, and then arrive at a logical answer. But, I’m afraid that this might cost me a lot of time in the real test. Any veterans/fellow test takers out there with any possible solution for this?
Since you’re on the third week, take your time working on your weaknesses. Implement those specific skills you’re least comfortable with, for example, identifying the main idea or finding the passage structure. Also, solve the easier questions first. And don’t forget to skip when you spend more than one minute per question.
You can check out GregMat’s Time Management sessions too. Good luck!
Thank you. I’ll definitely check that out.
Another follow-up question…
I often get caught up in the complexity of the sentence and lose focus on the strategy. How do you suggest I practice that skill?
You need to practice simplifying and rephrasing sentences. You may be missing the forest for the trees. Look for the bigger picture. You’ll find plenty of videos under the skills and verbal section.
Thank you
