Can you please advice how to overcome this ?? (attached screenshot is for your reference)

Learn and practice the strategies, you’ll get better. Practice is the only way.

Which verbal plan are you on and where are you on that plan?

1 month plan…week2 day2 around

Okay.

Great. Continue with the plan, you’ll get better.

Back to the question, remember we don’t always have to understand questions to get them correct - that is why strategies exist.

How did you approach it? Anything that you understand or any options you can eliminate?

Hi,

I actually try to understand first also my vocab is weak, so during that process i give up and feel stuck

You may not be able to understand every sentence - this question is an example.

Indeed, there are instances where understanding is not enough to solve questions - this question might even be one of those

That is why we need strategies.

Practice the strategies you’ve learnt even on questions you understand, and especially on questions you don’t.

Try solving them yourself, watch how Greg solves them and learn from it.

Share those you still don’t get here esp after you have attempted to solve them with strategies.

Watch Test 3 TC Walkthrough - GregMat to see how Greg solved it if you haven’t already.

There’s no way around Vocab, sadly.

Good thing is, Vocab is one of the relatively easier aspects to improve in Verbal.

Memorize/know them and that will go a long way to help Verbal prep.

So do not be discouraged.

Create a personalised collection of words you come across even as you do Vocab Mountain - GregMat .

It gets better as you memorize.

Most people go through this, so know you’re not alone.

You can also try reading GRE-level material from The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Economist, Scientific American, Arts and Letters Daily and any book(s) by Carl Sagan.

Some of these are behind paywalls and the effects of reading from these on comprehension will likely not be immediate. You can nonetheless check them out.

Reply back here if you still don’t get anything.
