Hi I need to understand where i went wrong. I had selected options A and D but the correct answer is D & F.

Just wanted to understand why option is A wrong.

Its a contrast because of the word “despite”. Second part of the para has a -ve connotation. Hence, the blank should have something positive. Misuse: -ve, Popularity and Prevalence - doesn’t make semantic sense. Now on Efficacy - positive and make semantic sense, Potential - positive and make semantic sense. I didn’t choose usefulness because, the para is not talking about the use of vitamin E, its only talking about the ‘belief’ and potential fits perfectly here.

Hi, a gentle follow-up on this. Can you please help.

I’m not the right person unfortunately - I’ve pinged others who should be able to help.

@Joan can you check this one?

Hi, it’s looks like you’re applying the math strategy pretty well

However you’ve not applied the pairing strategy

What positive words would you say from the options pair together?

The word ‘potential’ is the capacity to be something, not necessarily having to be a positive or a negative thing - in other words, it is a neutral word. ‘Potential’ is just not specific enough. Moreover, potential and efficacy do not make a pair, and cannot be considered synonyms.

Noted, this helps
