Hi, I just did my pp1 and I got a score of 313 (Q166 V147). I’m pretty anxious about the low verbal score especially when my exam is in mid-July. I’m currently following the 1-month plan and just completed week 1. I’m aiming for a 320+ score, which requires a verbal score of around 154-155+ (in case I keep my quant performance)
Any tips on how I can improve my verbal skills in the next 3 weeks? Should I be worried?. Is there anything I should really pay attention to before my test? Thank you?
That’s pretty solid! I’d really buckle down doing your videos with Greg and practice his tips and tricks. Read complex material that you can chew through with a little extra time. Find something in the field you already enjoy or even technical journals of biology, literature, and mythology. I’m a native speaker and took the test last week. Many of my passages were below the reading level of research. More like popular science. The passages Greg shows are VERY comparable. It’s just practice, tricks, and familiarity. You’ll do great! If you’re okay with a 166Q (seriously you beat me by over 5pts and I got into my doctoral program). You should focus on that Verbal. Good luck!
