Hey everyone, I am doing my best trying finish all of my GRE studying as soon as possible because I am applying to graduate schools currently and the cycle has already begun for most schools, and I would like to be applying to them only a week or two after the programs open at a maximum. I have hit the 50th percentile on my last GRE but scored low on the verbal, but I have also scored above the 70th percentile on the verbal before as well on my second GRE, but fell below on the quant. I am finishing up module 12 of the “I’m Overwhelmed” study plan. Is there any recommendations for quizzes I should take and scores I should get to know when I need to schedule my exam and to hit the 60th percentile? Any type of help here would be great!
Take full length timed practice tests (from ETS or Gregmat) to simulate real test conditions. Aim to consistently score around 152+ for Verbal and 154+ for Quant. If you’re hitting those marks on at least 2 to 3 consecutive tests, that’s a solid sign you’re ready to schedule.
Great, thank you so much for that info! I just have one question about the 154+ for quant, is that high enough to ensure that I will get a 162 on the actual GRE? As you probably know, 154 is around the 36th percentile for quant. I get that it would be difficult to score the 60th percentile consistently for someone who is not as great at the GRE like you or Greg or any of the tutors, but I just wanted to make sure that I would be at or around the 60th percentile at these scores before I spend another $220. Thank you for your help, and I hope I did not sound rude at all.
I meant to type 164+ for Quant. For verbal it would be around 156. My bad.
Thank you so much Joan!
