@khalilullahtaj , okay so assume that in the private library, there are 2 kinds of books, x and y where x = non-paperback books and y = paperback books.
Given: paperback biographies = 5% of y
Given: paperback biographies = 3% of (x+y) (because it is written of all the books, thus x+y)
Equate them, 3% of (x+y) = 5% of y
we have to find y, thus
y = \frac{3%}{5%}(x+y) which is 60%
